These eye drops are primarily used to relieve symptoms associated with allergic conjunctivitis, such as itching, redness, tearing, and swelling of the eyes. Cromolyn Sodium Ophthalmic Solution USP Eye Drop works by inhibiting the degranulation of mast cells in the conjunctiva (the thin membrane covering the white part of the eye and the inner surface of the eyelids).
